Blogtoberfest and changes are coming

Last Thursday I attended Boston Blogtoberfest. This was my first blogging event and I wasn’t sure what to expect… but it was so fun! It was held at Ginger Park, and it was my first time there. Unfortunately, I think I got there too late for any of the food and I only had wine… no fun cocktails. But everyone said the food was great! The decor was very swanky and fun. I felt like I was under one of those wooden model dinosaurs that I made as a kid.

Jenny Frazier did a great job putting this event together! It was advertised well, there were fun raffles, and there were lots of people there! I had a great time meeting some of my Twitter friends and blog friends, including Michelle of Fun and Fearless in Beantown! She blog about food and her fun adventures around the city, I love her blog! Definitely a fun and good resource!

I also met Jen from Beantown Baker who blogs about… baking! Her blog is delicious. She also blogs about a project for the troops she’s working on, and other resourceful stuff. We were two of the last people there!

I had a great time meeting all kinds of people, it was definitely worth the trip in!

During and after Blogtoberfest, I received some positive and not-as-positive comments on my blog. I’m in the process of moving it over to its new address as we speak! Along with the change in address, I’m going to focus more on what I’ve been told are the good things about Hit the Bricks… food/exercise tips, and writing about my adventures as part of a balanced, healthy lifestyle. I started this blog as a running blog, but my goal has really become to show readers how easy it is to have health and fitness be part of life but still stay balanced. Once the new blog is up and running, you’ll be the first to know! Its coming this week!
